Exploring August's real estate market trends and statistics.
Hello, this is Bill Jenkins, and this month, we have some important updates to share. But first, we’d like to pay tribute to the legendary Jimmy Buffett, who recently passed away. His music brought joy to millions, and he will be deeply missed.
Now, let’s dive into what happened in the real estate market last month, in August 2023. Single-family home inventory saw a slight uptick, crossing the 4,000 mark with 4,667 homes available. In terms of sales, 2,016 single-family homes were sold, along with 339 condos and 303 townhomes.
“We have some important updates to share.”
However, it’s worth noting that the market appears to be experiencing a shift. Last year marked the peak in both sales and home prices. With the recent rise in interest rates, we’re starting to see home prices gradually coming down. This evolving market trend is something we’re closely monitoring.
If you have any questions about buying, exploring loan programs, or selling your home in this changing market, we’re here to help. It remains a great time to sell your home and get it sold.
In memory of Jimmy Buffett, an artist who brought immense joy to so many, we reflect on one of his classics, “Come Monday.” As we remember this iconic artist, we also keep a watchful eye on the real estate market.
Rest in peace, Jimmy. Your music will continue to inspire us. Thank you for joining us this month, and we look forward to sharing more updates with you soon. And as always, if you have any questions about the real estate market, call or email me. I’m happy to help.
