Three ways to sell your home without going homeless.
The number one question I’ve been asked this week is, “How can I sell my home without being homeless?” Today I’ll share three ways to do just that.
1. Qualify for your next home purchase without selling. Reach out to your lender to ask if you can qualify to buy another home without the purchase being contingent on the sale of your existing home. If their answer is yes, then you have maximum flexibility as both a buyer and seller.
2. Set up coinciding settlements. This means that your home purchase and sale will take place very close together—ideally on the same day.
3. Arrange a seller lease-back. This allows you to rent your existing home back from a buyer while you’re waiting to close on the purchase of your new home. You may want to let buyers know that you’ll need this upfront, so they know to include it in their offers. Leasebacks can range anywhere from a couple of days up to months, but you can specify what your needs are.
Hopefully, these tips have helped you! If you have any further questions about buying or selling real estate, don’t hesitate to give me a call or send an email. Look forward to hearing from you soon!
